Low Carb Mozzarella Sticks

These store absolutely great in the freezer. If I have time, I’ll make a batch and save them for later. It’s a great quick snack for yourself or party food.

Ingredients

  • 8 pieces cut mozzarella cheese

  • 1 large eggs beaten

  • 1/4 cup almond flour

  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese

  • 1 tablespoon coconut flour

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Mozzarella cheese into 8 chunks.

  2. Beat 1 egg in small bowl. Set aside.

  3. Place almond flour, Parmesan cheese, coconut flour, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and salt in shallow dish. Blend together.

  4. Dip each piece of mozzarella into the beaten egg and then coat by rolling mozzarella sticks in mix.

  5. Dip mozzarella sticks a second time into the egg and roll in the mixture to get a nice even coating.

  6. Freeze for at least one hour.

Oven – Heat oven to 425°F. Cook for around 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown. Turning over once.

Oil – Heat oil to 400°F. Cook each coated piece of mozzarella in the hot oil until browned on all sides.

Air Fryer – Heat Air Fryer to 400°F. Cook for around 5 minutes.

Note: If you have any low carb marinara sauce, use that for dipping!
